The Grund, the lower town along the Alzette, was long mainly a weekend nightlife area. That's changing: a new generation of owners is deliberately choosing the district, with venues that are full even on a Tuesday lunchtime.
A brasserie with a view
At the foot of the casemates, a brasserie has opened in a former warehouse. The menu is classic Luxembourgish — Judd mat Gaardebounen, Rieslingspaschtéit — but lighter, with vegetables from the Moselle valley.
